Halifax, Nova Scotia duo 'dope' have quickly established themselves at the forefront of East Coast Canada’s electronic music scene with their fresh and consistent approach. Flawlessly bridging the gap between hip hop and electronic music, the dope boys combine a unique mix of experimental bass, dub, rap, grime and other forms of forward thinking music.

Their first official EP release, ’No Filter’, dropped late fall of 2018 on Germany’s Saturate! Records. The release was instantly well received, picking up features from Noisia Radio, The Untz and Fuxwithit blog. With records released on Saturate! Records (Hamburg), Sleeveless Records (Los Angeles), Opulence Recordings (Vancouver), Grease Coast Records (Halifax) and LoFreq Records (San Francisco), 2019 saw the first wave of the dope sound. Support from the likes of heavyweight producers DJ Craze, Dillon Francis & Barclay Crenshaw has helped build a steadily growing worldwide fanbase for the duo.

With a second EP under their belts (Major Threats via Saturate! Records '21), the dope boys have lots in store for 2022. As they expand and evolve their sound into the new decade, the dope boys are ready to carve out their own spot in the international bass music scene.
