Paris-based artist and songwriter Dory-Loup specializes in creating catchy and energetic music, which blurs the lines between a wide variety of styles, including pop-punk, and alternative music. The 23-year old French musician is a member of several projects, including mirabelle, a local band that recently released a new studio EP. In addition to that, Dory-Loup is also venturing into solo work, writing songs and recording them independently. He released an album last year through Bandcamp. Dory-Loup’s music is catchy, direct, and fun, tipping the hat off to artists such as Knuckle Puck, The Story So Far, as well as Neck Deep, only to mention a few. However, Dory-Loup’s new music goes kind of outside his usual comfort zone, experimenting with softer songs, as well as incorporating elements of trap and hip-hop into his creative vision. The result is a well-rounded, highly creative and interesting release, where the artist showcases such a broad range of musical influences.
