Formed in the summer of 2018, Sleep/less is a pop-punk outfit from Winnipeg that blends early 2000s nostalgia with a modern emotional edge. Drawing inspiration from the melodic grit of <a href="spotify:artist:5aYyPjAsLj7UzANzdupwnS" data-name="Good Charlotte">Good Charlotte</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7k73EtZwoPs516ZxE72KsO" data-name="ONE OK ROCK">ONE OK ROCK</a> to the heavier tones of <a href="spotify:artist:7iWiAD5LLKyiox2grgfmUT" data-name="Bullet For My Valentine">Bullet For My Valentine</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:1xUhNgw4eJDZfvumIpcz1B" data-name="Children Of Bodom">Children Of Bodom</a>, the band delivers high-energy anthems laced with introspective, open-ended lyrics meant to hit everyone a little differently.
Led by Beau Turner, Brad Conrad Wiebe, and John Corsiga, <a href="spotify:artist:0o6cuAtOpuu0chdB1m545F" data-name="Sleep/Less">Sleep/Less</a> made their mark with standout single <a href="spotify:album:6ZZucmb0K6MAcXsyOkGEdT" data-name="Laska">Laska</a> and their EP <a href="spotify:album:2k7Y1fSn7TFMvI817Of2pB" data-name="Bring Back Movie Quote Song Titles">Bring Back Movie Quote Song Titles</a> a fan favourite that fused heartbreak, memory, and cathartic hooks into cinematic pop-punk storytelling.
Known for their explosive live shows, the band has shared stages with <a href="spotify:artist:0niJkG4tKkne3zwr7I8n9n" data-name="Finger Eleven">Finger Eleven</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:557SGrCJ59ysjCE1xjVZbS" data-name="Big Wreck">Big Wreck</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:1lqW59DUEKqvcHc8mVWBtH" data-name="Our Lady Peace">Our Lady Peace</a>, and toured the West Coast with their signature mix of nostalgia and forward motion.
Now, after a year of growth, personally, musically, and professionally, Sleep/less returns with their most honest track to date: “Say Goodbye”, dropping August 8. Written for anyone wrestling with the weight of their past while trying to build a better version of themselves, the song embodies the exhaustion, the relapse, and ultimately the resilience of change.
With more music slated for later this year, Sleep/less continues to carve out space for listeners to feel, reflect, and shout along, on their own terms.
