Dose de Romeu is an independent band from Recife (BR) formed in 2012. In their songs, it’s possible to identify many influences – from rock to maracatu – from artists like Zé Ramalho to harmonies that reminds of the band Incubus or other acts related to the grunge movement, as heard on the song Refém.
In their hometown, the band has performed at pubs, besides radio and TV shows. During a 2018 tour, they brought their Pernambuco aesthetics to Germany, playing in well known venues such as the Sage Club and headlined the Emergenza festival at the Bi Nuu in Berlin.
Formerly using zabumba and acoustic guitars, they crafted a rustic way of expressing their emotions, stories and musicality. Now in a new phase, Zé Fernandes takes the lead vocals, bringing his presence and charisma alongside the power trio made of Victor Poggi (guitar and vocals), Saulo Bernardino (bass and vocals) and Artur Onyaiê (drums). With approximately 80 minutes, their concert features songs from the new album and cover ones, besides old songs rearranged by the current members.
