The band started their journey as a Bristol based sound system comprising of electronic and acoustic musicians, rapidly building a strong following and winning the Glastonbury Festival emerging talent Competition and gaining respect across the Festival scene. They have gone on to become the World's Best Live Soulful Drum & Bass act.
Dr Meaker have released 2 hugely successful albums 'A Lesson From The Speaker' and ‘Dirt & Soul’ to Worldwide critical acclaim. Their most recent work has smashed the Electronic iTunes charts, making a No.1 selling Drum & Bass album with strong support from the D'n'B pioneers such as Bryan G, Fabio & Grooverider & Pendulum to mainstream support from institutions such as Annie Mac, Mistajam and Dj Target at BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra and MTV.
The band have also released a flurry of records on many of the best DnB labels including: V Recordings, Ram Records, Souped Up, Born On Road & Jungle Cakes.
