Dr. Peel

Dr. Peel is a solo artist from Chelmsford Essex. His musical style combines various genres such as psychedelia, garage rock, surf, Britpop, Lo-Fi and all things fuzzy.

Dr. Peel released his debut solo album Much Voodoo About Nothing in September 2021, recorded at his home studio. Tracks were mixed and mastered by Glasgow based Jason Shaw of Fuzzface Studio. The debut was a heady mix of surf rock guitar licks, Britpop melodies, evocative instrumentals & stripped back production, the album was branded as “an acid-fried fever dream”

In 2022 Dr. Peel worked on writing and recording his second album Message Man. Dr. Peel jetted off to Dystopia Studios in Glasgow with Jason Shaw (Fuzz Face Studios) on production duties

The first single Push It was released in September 2022 and topped up the swear jars across the world for any radio station brave enough play it. The second single released You'll Never Know was described as Nick Waterhouse and Jack White writing for Elvis Presley , on acid. Levitation was the 3rd and final single from the album which produced a more brooding shoegazing psych style.
