The Zoology is a Sydney-based rock and blues band, playing mostly in Sydney’s inner west area. Their heaviest influences are Led Zeppelin, Muddy Waters, The Rolling Stones, B.B. King, and Chuck Berry, however they bring these sounds up to date with indie rock, reggae, punk and funk textures.

Will Lidden (Guitar/Vocals) and John Huie (Percussion/Keys) have been playing together since early high school, and know each other's ins and outs like the back of a proverbial hand - giving the band a tight rhythmic back bone. Their song writing draws on blues, funk, rock, metal, and "basically anything with a guitar in it".

Despite the relative lack of gigging opportunities, 2020 was a massive year for the group. In June, they released their debut studio album, 'Hand of Time', featuring raucous hard rock and blues sounds. This was followed up in August with 'Virtually', a live album recorded at Sydney Underground Streaming Sessions in Marrickville. Capstoning the year was The Zoology's second studio album, 'Escapism', a genre-bending psychedelic experience. In a creative blitz, the EP 'Blue Tooth' was recorded between Christmas and New Year, and released February 2021.

Their third studio album, the double LP 'Plantlife', drops in August 2021.
