One of the first traditional ska bands from Europe to impact American shores, Germany's Dr. Ring Ding and the Senior AllStars were led by singer/trombonist Richie Jung, formerly of El Bosso and the Ping Pongs. Rechristening himself Dr. Ring Ding in tribute to the <a href="spotify:artist:4og9jrin5xH5JiFPbeGUPb">Skatalites</a> hit of the same name, Jung assembled the Senior AllStars, which included bassist Andre Meyer and drummer Thomas Hoppe, and recorded Dandimite, issued in the U.S. in 1997.
