Dr Syntax is a rapper from the United Kingdom, best known for comedic songs such as 'Cats & Dogs', 'My House' and 'Middle Class Problems', as well as for his ever-engaging live performances.

His deep vocal tone, deft rhyme skills and wry humour have made him a prominent figure in the country's underground hip hop scene for several decades.

Originally emerging from Brighton's thriving scene in the early 2000s, where he regularly performed at rap shows, open mics and battles alongside local favourites The Menagerie, Imagineers and Massive Warriors, he gained widespread attention following his collaborations with Foreign Beggars, appearing on their albums and touring with them consistently throughout their early years.

He went on to collaborate with other luminaries of the scene including Pete Cannon, Tom Caruana and The Mouse Outfit. As frontman for the latter, he became a music festival mainstay across Europe, in an incarnation of the band that also featured Mancunian legends Sparkz and Pitch 92 (High Focus).

More recently he has been based in Bristol, working with acts such as Jamu, The Allergies and Binbag Wisdom, whil continuing to release well-received releases with long-term
collaborators Tom Caruana and Pete Cannon.
