Heartbreak. Religious trauma. Dogs.
These are topics of concern for Salt Lake-based outfit Drusky. The band’s new single, “Big Halftime Show,” takes the former two and augments them for widescreen effect. Fans know (and love) these rollicking grunge-pop stylings—they’ve heard it at Drusky’s live shows with the likes of Beach Bunny, Sir Chloe, Pool Kids, Destroy Boys, Alex Lahey, Liza Anne, and Arm’s Length. But it’s never been so dynamic or easy to sing along to.
Mia Hicken (guitar, vocals) Casey Ball (guitar) and Eli Pratt (bass) recently saw the prodigal return of Scotty Knutson behind the kit. Dear friend Stacie Fleischer completed work on “BHS” as well as the band’s debut LP, “Cake & Absinthe”
