Live and studio dub project founded in Bologna (Italy) in 2009. Ruff bass, acid upbeat synths and infinite delays are the trademark of Engine’s “psycho-steppa” sound, an original dub musical expression where voices, effects and basslines explode in an intense high-impact psychedelic sound.
They’ve shared the stage with international dub artists, spreading their psycho-steppa vibes in most of the festivals/clubs all over Europe and overseas.
Revealed in 2010 with “Dub Engine”, a 8-tracks release, they appeared on several european compilations before signing “Rude Boy” in 2011 on Dubatriation Records, their first 7″ vinyl release, song selected in the Jah Shaka dub sessions.
In August 2017 the album “Psychosteppa” is released on ODGProd netlabel.
In 2018 they took part of “High Tone Remixed-Dub to Dub” project with their remixed version of the song “Emperor Dub” and Sabry vocals in “Enter The Dragon” by Tetra Hydro K for High Tone french dub band 20th anniversary: a compilation of anthological High Tone songs remixed by 12 artists of the new Dub generation.
In 2019 they publish “You Can Call Me Crazy”, a heavy dub-steppa song about female empowerment.
In 2025 they released “Vampires” single/ Video clip and the song “Chernobyl Wave”.
