Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Dub struggled with making the right choices vs giving in to the temptations of the streets. Living in Henry Horner projects without a father, who had left when Dub was 2 years old, Dub became unaware of his talents and abilities. At 17 years old Dub's mother moved him to Montgomery, IL ( a Chicago suburb) where he realized his potential. Taking his interest in music to the next level Dub became aware he had a special talent with manipulating words and putting together clever metaphors and phrases. Dub took that gift and ran with it..he began writing and recording his own songs, engineering his own music, and recently, directing, filming and editing his own videos. When asked how was he affected by growing up without a father, Dub responds "He left me and my mom hungry.....and I'm starving to show him he made a mistake!!"
