Dudeo Perez started as an opportunity for <a href="spotify:artist:6Z7RPyY6UV0QfRPagO9Ymo" data-name="Jackson Reynosa">Jackson Reynosa</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:6XoUbGduxF9QHQTZEXfOgJ" data-name="Noah Boland">Noah Boland</a> to provide a fun, pop-rock antithesis to the heavy punk-rock scene of the Central Coast. Soon after its ideation, members Jackson Morris and Spencer Cefalu joined to complete the band's first release, Allons'y. The French title, which translates directly to "Let's Go", offers an invitation to join in on the exciting journey of Dudeo Perez.
Allons'y, Dudeo's first album, reveals Dudeo's sonically dynamic nature, which is a constant contrast between <a href="spotify:artist:6Z7RPyY6UV0QfRPagO9Ymo" data-name="Jackson Reynosa">Jackson Reynosa</a>'s pop-style songwriting and the entire bands' tendency to lean toward their hard rock influences. This contrast is obvious as the band moves from catchy hooks in the opening track, "Sivolette", to the guitar-driven sing along, "Want it Bad".
In their sophomore release, King of Last Year, Dudeo Perez is as forward with the hooky vocals and distorted guitar leads as they are on the first album, yet the album indicates a maturity in songwriting. "Jester" introduces a new speed and calmness for Dudeo, while tracks such as "Conquistador", "Come as You Please", and "Predisposition" establish a new type of melancholic intensity throughout the album.
In May 2023, Dudeo Perez released the 4-track project, “Summer Days”. Be sure to catch them live to experience an energy that cannot be contained in an album alone.
