Born and raised in Baragoi in Kenya's Samburu county, Dufla (aka Dufla Diligon, The Jumping Antelope) was singing as he roamed the plains herding his father's cows and keeping them safe from the abundant wildlife in the area. He first started performing to his community in Kaichukan Village, and got his break when Mzazi Willy M Tuva discovered his talent during the Mseto Mashinani Tour at Marmanet in 2012. Now, one of the most recognizable faces of the new Africa Dancehall movement, his versatility is demonstrated by the number of artists he has collaborated with including Masauti on Dai, Cindy Sanyu on the Tempo Remix, Arrow Bwoy on Find X and Chobo, Fena Gitu on the Katapila Remix, Sanaipei Tande on Hold You, Redsan on Legeza, FEMI ONE on Zone and most recently with Iyanii on Donjo Maber. With his powerful baritone delivery and lyrical mastery and often touted as East Africa's answer to Shaggy, Dufla continues to attract fans from around the world.
