After spending years touring as the front man for a pop punk band called We Still Dream, Dustin Monk decided to part ways and focus on his journey as a singer-songwriter in the blues/southern rock world.
With the release of a solo e.p. and a desire to do bigger things, Dustin ended up catching a break landing a spot on Season 9 of NBC’s hit show “The Voice”, and turned two chairs (Adam Levine and Blake Shelton). Getting to work up close and personal with musical icons such as Adam Levine and John Fogerty, Dustin was able to take all that he had learned back home with him.
Dustin continued to release singles, and began playing at local open mic nights. It didn’t take long before he was collaborating and writing with other local musicians.
Thriving off the heartbeat of Rock and the smoothness of Soul, DM&TH takes inspiration from numerous other genres such as blues, funk, r&b, etc. to form his own sound.
