Duwayne Motley is an American producer based in Charleston, South Carolina. He released his first single in 2009, a track that would later be included in the Nervous Records compilation, Best House 20, representing its stand-out releases over the past 20 years. Since then he’s had releases around the globe on labels such as Large, Salted, King Street, iRecords, Moulton Music, Simma Black, Bobbin Head Music and Midnight Riot to name a few. Motley’s sound has a live feel with roots in disco, jazz and usually a featured vocalist.
In 2019, Take Me Back featuring Tim Davis came out on Large Music along side house duo Saison and gained worldwide support. Two years later, Motley teamed up with Australian vocalist Tasty Lopez to do a version of Eddie Grant’s 1979 classic, Walking On Sunshine, with veteran label Glasgow Underground. 2022 saw Motley’s return to Large with Two-Time Grammy winning vocalist Quiana Parler. 2023 included a big new dub mix of his 2020 deep house rap vocal Kontrolle for Moulton Music and an EP called Keep Talking for Germany's own Peppermint Jam. Since then, Motley teamed up with former Tina Turner background singer and current lead singer for the TV show Dancing with the Stars, Kelli Sae and Glasgow Underground’s Kevin McKay for the chart topping tracing called Somebody to Love. This was quickly followed by Motley’s remix of the 2 time Grammy winning song Freedom by Ranky Tanky. Lots of music set for 2025!Please enjoy the music!
