Twenty-five-year-old Dylan Triplett was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. His debut album, recorded in 2019 and released in 2022, Who is He, led to him receiving the 2023 Blues Foundation award for Best Emerging Artist.
In 2024, Triplett was recruited to join the all-star lineup of the Experience Hendrix Tour. The national run of dates in September and October found Dylan Triplett sharing the stage and spotlight with Taj Mahal, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Samantha Fish, Eric Johnson, and a host of other stars. “I had a great time,” Dylan says. “It went by so fast! I was just happy to be there, learning from those guys and feeling the energy.” Another Experience Hendrix Tour followed that successful tour in March and April 2025.
Both opportunities came about in part thanks to blues superstar Christone “Kingfish” Ingram. The Clarksdale, Mississippi-born guitarist had played on Dylan’s debut album. “We built a rapport,” Dylan says. Ingram and our manager, Ric Whitney, recognized the talent and potential of the young blues singer and had their eyes on him as a potential signing for Red Zero, the brand-new record label they had launched in October 2025.
When they approached Dylan, he was excited. “I had been approached by other labels, but I was holding on, hoping that something like this would come along,” he enthuses. “When it happened, I knew: ‘This is where I’m going; I’m not doing anything else.’”
