Founded in 2009, Dyland & Lenny is a reggaeton duo from Puerto Rico comprised of rapper Dyland (born Carlos Castillo Cruz) and vocalist Lenny (born Julio Manuel González Tavarez), who both had planned to become basketball players prior to making a career in music. In the mold of successful reggaeton duos such as <a href="spotify:artist:3jFjgKOGfVLWfXX8q5wrsg">RKM & Ken-Y</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:1wZtkThiXbVNtj6hee6dz9">Wisin & Yandel</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:7npqy7rgdX2D3yfVyWExKo">Angel & Khriz</a>, Dyland & Lenny made their commercial recording debut as featured guests on <a href="spotify:artist:43qxAkuKFB6fMNSeS5dO7Z">Ana Bárbara</a>'s <a href="spotify:artist:5pZE9tgrhmIGWAsJZ7YxNK">Luny Tunes</a>-produced hit single "Rompiendo Cadenas" in 2009. In association with Sony Music, the duo made its full-length album debut with My World in 2010.
