Often in life, great things begin with a small coincidence. For example, a carelessly
discarded apple can grow into a mighty tree. The choice of an unknown path can
lead to unforeseen adventures. The assembly of many small parts leads to an
impressive overall picture. Or, in the words of meteorologist Edward N. Lorenz:
"A small beat of a butterfly's wings can cause a raging storm."
In a similar way, the encounter of the guitar duo Melvyn and Jerry on one side and
the former members of INFINITE SWARM, ND, and J-Low, in 2022 can be
described. They feel that they have come together for something great, almost
predestined.
DYSPLACED, a dark mix of Deathcore, Melodic Death, and Black Metal from
Hanau in Germany, convinces with intense riffs paired with blast beats and
breakdowns that penetrate and take over the body. Rounded off with a touch of
melody, the intense vocals rain down on the listener like a thunderstorm, without
adhering too strictly to a single genre. Lyrically, they don't leave anyone, least of
all themselves, in the rain and report on inner conflicts in which the audience is
sure to find a piece of themselves. They have already demonstrated this by
securing second place at the EMERGENZA Regional Finals 2023, as well as
performances with bands such as DARK DAYS and FALLING MEAT.
