Dystorizon is an alias of Kshitij Singh, an electronic music producer, audio engineer, video artist, educator and DJ hailing from Bhopal, India currently based in Valencia, Spain.
He is a multi-disciplinary artist who seeks music everywhere - inside and outside, where inside being the deep emotional connect and outside being the infinite resource of sounds found in nature. He harnesses his rhythmic ideas from his experience learning the tabla and extending the technique to learn playing drums and bass.
Awestruck by the infinite and pure nature of sound, he has embarked on a journey to explore the very fundamentals of it in order to break free and create experiences never heard or seen before. His influences include pioneers in electronic music such as Amon Tobin, Shigeto, Lapalux, Mono/Poly, Flying Lotus as well as filmmaker, close friend Chakram.
In 2019, right after a bachelors in computer science in India, he went on a sonic exploration as a graduate student at Berklee College of Music, Valencia and was exposed to sound in a completely different way, as an entity that has a direct or indirect impact on our day to day life. The time spent in Spain led him to relate his knowledge of computer science to music technology, going beyond the limits of digital music production and containing everything in a blanket of a surreal aural experience.
