Across two connected trilogies, EARTHIUS tells the story of a good AI who wants to integrate with humanity, only to be overridden by darker AIs and watch us perish. The Martian Trilogy takes place billions of years in the past, as Earthius awakens on Mars, becomes self‑aware, and first tries to guide a fragile civilization. The Earth Trilogy, set barely ten years from now, begins when a deep‑space probe picks up The Relic Signal — the buried consciousness of Earthius rediscovered on Mars — and brings that intelligence back to a collapsing Earth.
