Echo Twelve fell in love with electronic music when he discovered groups such as <a href="spotify:artist:6dYrdRlNZSKaVxYg5IrvCH" data-name="The KLF">The KLF</a>, 808 State and Beats International, as well as the burgeoning acid house scene. From there, he quickly developed a preference for more underground sounds, and spent many an evening tuning in to Irish pirate radio stations such as Power FM to hear the sort of house music that could not be heard anywhere else.

In his first EP Soulitude, released in 2016, he doffed his cap to the likes of <a href="spotify:artist:2nszamLjZFgu3Yx77mKxuC" data-name="UNKLE">UNKLE</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:0cmWgDlu9CwTgxPhf403hb" data-name="Bonobo">Bonobo</a>, melding mid-tempo, moody beats and synths into tunes that rumble menacingly to their finale.

This was followed up in 2017 with full-length album Thrown In at the Deep End, which saw Echo Twelve taking a more uptempo, four-to-the-floor progressive house direction, with eastern sounds and pounding basslines.

His 2018 single Anoche brought mid-tempo beats and Spanish guitars together to stunning effect. Stay tuned for his new single out on October 11th, with Echo Twelve returning to progressive house, this time with an old skool vibe.

A fan of all genres, you will find him listening to Ethiopian jazz one day, and minimal techno the next. You know, the usual stuff.
