Eddie Benjamin is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer

Growing up in the oceanside community of Bondi Beach, Benjamin was surrounded by music from birth. His mom and sisters danced professionally, while his dad composed for films and toured the world as a musician. After watching Prince play the bass, the rhythmic instrument became his weapon of choice. At 13 years old, Benjamin began playing local jazz haunts and headlining a weekly residency at a nightclub. His talents soon spread worldwide thanks to his viral covers on social media.

On landing in Los Angeles in 2019, Benjamin dove headfirst into the local music scene, and his life has been a whirlwind ever since. He has quietly become a secret weapon in the studio, working alongside artists including Sia, Meghan Trainor, Shawn Mendes, Alessia Cara and the legendary Earth, Wind and Fire. In 2021, he introduced himself to the world with Emotional, anchored by the tenderhearted singles “Diamond Eyes” (featuring Sia) and “Speechless.” The following year, he delivered “Weatherman,” a sun-soaked, piano-led anthem about clinging to one last glimmer of hope. The track helped set the tone for Benjamin’s rise, hitting the Spotify Viral (US) chart, becoming a top-10 used song on TikTok, and being dubbed “one of the best songs of the year so far” by TIME. Simultaneously he was performing to packed arenas on Justin Bieber 2022 Justice World Tour with only a guitar, proving his charismatic command of the stage.
