<a href="spotify:artist:12Ridw1bOfWe2CGbDpqoU0" data-name="Edea">Edea</a> was born in Milan to African mother (from Mali) and Italian father.
In 2008 she won the singing contest for <a href="spotify:playlist:6DF5MZoZp7jm0FYKNSEubv" data-name="Sanremo 2009">Sanremo 2009</a> called Sanremolab, with <a href="spotify:artist:25x6MD0spNNS7z93Sat30K" data-name="Arisa">Arisa</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:5d5jafxHTP33OEUupZCxJq" data-name="Simona Molinari">Simona Molinari</a>
She opened the show for <a href="spotify:artist:6gTrPTTb3XgiLt7GGcmf8j" data-name="Piero Pelù">Piero Pelù</a> <a href="spotify:artist:4fyqZfUgCydEbRPWi7MWF0" data-name="Gatto Panceri">Gatto Panceri</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:6lDxAkOvI75RgtoIohFQX9" data-name="Piero Mazzocchetti">Piero Mazzocchetti</a> and, in summer 2010, she supported <a href="spotify:artist:7eIqewR3PiwQDItf5G2SyV" data-name="Donatella Rettore">Donatella Rettore</a> during her “ <a href="spotify:track:1LfrL5WCFXVrfa9yrHzlvD" data-name="Caduta Massi">Caduta Massi</a> ” tour.
In 2011 her song &#34;Le catene del cuore ” was chosen for the compilation “Oltre Sanremo&#34;, distributed by Universal Music. In 2012 she was among the finalists of the national singing contest “Festival Show 2012 ” with the song “Non finisce con te ”, which was passed on the most popular radio stations in northern Italy.
In 2013 her first single “ <a href="spotify:track:5gtuXPOpbET7KznJXZFxVr" data-name="Io Sono LA Neve">Io Sono LA Neve</a> written and produced by <a href="spotify:artist:6r6LOHfqzWUQhM9Swwq9Vg" data-name="Vincenzo Incenzo">Vincenzo Incenzo</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:3hgRq7UGjoHwwS17M0JWHS" data-name="Lorenzo Sebastianelli">Lorenzo Sebastianelli</a> and published by Verba Manent, was released in all the digital stores. This first release was followed by other songs and videoclips which gave birth to Edea’s first album: “ <a href="spotify:track:0H6zIHPSvzEiSFmdoJzQgU" data-name="Dall&#39;Africa">Dall&#39;Africa</a>.
On 28 June 2019 she released the new single “ <a href="spotify:track:77ZCMlFVmh7a8EMjJD0jpi" data-name="Luna E Marte">Luna E Marte</a>&#34; produced for <a href="spotify:artist:5eX2ilBWGrslRFyivQatg2" data-name="Universal Music Publishing">Universal Music Publishing</a>.
In October 2019 Edea moved to England and started several collaborations with local musicians whilst continuing her activity in Italy. On 22th July 2023, again in collaboration with Lorenzo Sebastianelli, “Le Radici Del Tempo” was released, for Macrì Production - Amuse.
On 20th September 2024 Edea released &#34;Cose Stupide&#34;,produced once again by Vincenzo Incenzo for Verbamanent Music, distributed by ADA Music Italy / Warner Music Italy
