Edgar Valente

Edgar Valente is a chameleonic artist, living between Sintra and the mountains of Beira Baixa (Portugal), who sings and plays piano and adufe since his childhood. In addition to being trained at the National Conservatory of Music, he later studied on the Performing Arts Course at SOU - Movimento e Arte.

As an author his work is mainly registered with <a href="spotify:artist:1EveUgzT9i3TQOR3wt7Gze" data-name="Criatura">Criatura</a>, the collective he has founded in 2014 with the purpose of ressignificating the portuguese roots music, and also with <a href="spotify:artist:6x7Ci3QHS7L24ImtQX9jhV" data-name="Bandua">Bandua</a>, a folktronica duo with <a href="spotify:artist:11Kei7N8q0DASfM48xi9aM" data-name="Tempura the Purple Boy">Tempura the Purple Boy</a> released in 2022.

As a mentor, Edgar created the project &#34;Quem Tem Corpo Canta&#34; (Every Body Sings) and founded <a href="spotify:artist:34NGmjmezLv4xXCNx7naAz" data-name="Coro dos Anjos">Coro dos Anjos</a>, in order to facilitate access to the practice of singing to every body. Nowadays, he serves also as a mentor for people who need help not just on singing, but also creating, writing, moving, expressing or healing.
