In addition to multiple decades of success as a Cantopop singer and songwriter, Edmond Leung also appeared in various television shows and films. Born in Hong Kong on November 5, 1971, he began his career as a finalist at the 1989 New Talent Singing Awards. Only 17 years old at the time, he was subsequently offered a recording contract with the Capital Artists label. Beginning in 1990 he recorded approximately an album a year for Capital Artists before switching to Gold Label in 2002.
