Nicholas Tse established himself as one of Hong Kong's biggest stars in the late '90s with Cantopop albums such as My Attitude (1997) and action films such as Young and Dangerous: The Prequel (1998). After the turn of the century his popularity grew as he crossed over to the Mandarin music scene and continued appearing regularly in films and television series. Born in Hong Kong on August 29, 1980, he was raised in Vancouver, Canada, and has dual Canadian and Hong Kong citizenship. He made his recording debut in 1997 in association with Emperor Entertainment Group (EEG).
