This is Eels and Escalators, an Alternative Band from Bochum, Germany. Their music is characterized by its mostly dark atmosphere, created through a combination of melancholy lyrics and intense musical structures. Within writing process, the artists like to leave the classic "Pop formula" behind for more complex and surprising progressive parts. When it comes to lyrics, they see texting as creating pictures blending in the produced atmosphere. Sometimes that may turn out quite cryptical, but always straight from the mind and heart.
