Step into the vibrant world of Houston's musical luminary, Ejay Mallard, who is reshaping R&B with his innovative Houston R&B sound. Inspired by 90s R&B, funk, strings, gospel, and hip-hop, Ejay has crafted a genre-defying blend of sounds. From his roots in 90s R&B and gospel choir, Mallard's career blossomed during his Baylor University days, marked by EP releases in 2017 & 2019. These laid the foundation for his rise in contemporary R&B, recognized by Beatnotiks, Elevator Magazine, Baylor Lariat, and more.

His debut album, "Traumatized" (2019), explored heartbreak with trap-influenced beats, amassing over 1 million streams. Its success cemented his status as an R&B rising star. Following "Traumatized," Mallard's "Healium" (2021) delved into healing from trauma and heartbreak, with standout singles "Connections," "Reparations," and "Breaking All The Rules," totaling over 450,000 streams.

In 2024, Mallard is taking off with his EP catalogue "WHEN A BLACK MAN GETS _____," a 3-part series exploring vulnerability, affection, and acceptance in the black male experience.
