Ascending producer and engineer, Ekzakt, has been refining his production skills for over a decade and is enjoying the rewards of his consistency while just scratching the surface of what he is capable of. His work with Hip Hop & R&B’s most prominent rising, established and legendary artists include Guapdad 4000, Ye Ali, Armon & Trey, 6lack, G-Eazy, The Dream and Too Short amongst many others has led to increased opportunities.
Born in San Francisco and raised between Seattle and The North Bay Area, Zach started making beats with loops at the age of eleven with his uncle who owned Sony Acid Pro. Zach’s mother is from Detroit naturally leading to exposure to the Motown sound of soul of the 60s and 70s. These early experiences with music led to a career in music production drawing influences from music’s most celebrated artists and producers like Donny Hathaway, Curtis Mayfield and Timbaland. Being raised in the Bay Area has also had a prominent impact on not only Ekzkat’s sound and production style but also how he maneuvers throughout the music industry. Zach’s self describes his sound as “A combination between Timabaland and Rick Rock if they opened a trap house in Atlanta,” while including a slamming bass that is so prevalent throughout the Bay Area sound and culture.
In addition to working on songs for Guapdad 4000 and 6lack and releasing a project of his own, Ekzakt has his sights aimed at building a HUB of creatives for content creation.
