El Jeffrey is a merengue vocalist who was a member of the group <a href="spotify:artist:4DhI0tBvLZhBmJszCPo9ni">La Artillería</a> prior to going solo in the late '90s. Born José Gabriel Severino on April 1, 1974, in Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic, he made his full-length album debut with Jeffrey Para el Mundo (1998) on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22EMI%22">EMI</a>. The following decade he released a couple albums on <a href="spotify:search:label%3A%22Sony%22">Sony</a>, Mi Tierra (2003) and Mi Vida (2005), and garnered some acclaim.
