Elborn (The Elborné Collectivõ) was a psychedelic art-grunge band from South London known for releasing infrequently and inconsistently. Elborn first rose to obscurity following their debut Dulwich performance. From there they went on to achieve no hit singles, no top charts, and no bitches.
From Theo, Shotton, Wadey, Lillie, Felix, and (sometimes) Oscar
Elborn consisted of a group of friends in 2022 aimlessly jamming, with its first lineup consisting of Theo Bridge (<a href="spotify:artist:3af3GVpOPdjiAda4YWWqrF" data-name="Illmodes">Illmodes</a>), Felix Patten, Sam Morrissey, and Tom Shotton, calling themselves the 'Ratchet Enjoyers'. Although not a serious endeavour, the band would replace Morrissey with new bassist Tom Wade, despite his limited experience on bass, and Oscar Pelly, who became the drummer.
The debut performance in may 2023 would mark the first appearance of the core members playing together, and their second performance in July of the same year would be their last.
Over the summer following the performance, Bridge, Patten, Shotton, and Wade (joined by new vocalist Lillie Preston) recorded numerous demos with the intention of creating an EP, although the plans never came to fruition.
South London's Average Gentleman (SLAG) was released in October of 2023, and remains their only track to date, garnering 20,000 plays over a year and a half. Written as a parody of an Arctic Monkeys song, SLAG was co-written by Shotton and Bridge (who also produced, marking his first release prior to Illmodes).
