Elias Bendix

Danish Elias Bendix likes to keep listeners on their toes. He is a world explorer that follows a trail of witty funk a la David Byrne and Jamiroquai, uniquely blended with the harmonies and atmospheres of jazz names such as Israeli jazz bassist Avishai Cohen or Swedish Esbjörn Svensson Trio. You can find him playing with Treme Brass bands in New Orleans, supporting Angelique Kidjo or Snarky Puppy’s Cory Henry in Copenhagen, touring Africa with Feridah Rose or jamming with the funk lord, Prince. Growing up between Denmark, Italy and France, he explored his passion for Latin culture and music while living and studying in Argentina and Spain, and he holds a masters degree in music production from the prestigious Berklee School of Music. His diverse life experiences have shaped his own unique brand of clean-cut funky pop which combines a jazz sensibility with lyrics that embrace love in all its complexity. In 2021 he released his debut LP, Puzz, which received critical acclaim throughout Europe and Latin America, and is setting out into the post pandemic landscape to bring his dynamic and colorful live performances to new stages worldwide.
