Mimi Serbedzija, a.k.a. Eliot Alma, will be releasing two singles this fall followed by her debut EP in mid November 2022. New to the scene, Mimi has created the character of Eliot and chosen to project her songs through her, as they capture and convey her most intimate and honest thoughts, feelings and real experiences. The album was recorded at Eve recording studio in Manchester right after graduating from Paul McCartney’s Liverpool institute for the performing Arts. Her band is made up of her close friends and fellow students Daniel Astles, Zack Smith, Bobby Finnegan, Enric Verdaguer and Louie Miles. The EP, consisting of 6 songs, was produced by Finn Howells while all music and lyrics were written by Mimi herself.
After the release of Eliot and I as the first single, the second single, Unchained, will be accompanied by a music video directed by Mimi and shot by London based videographer Conrad Magan. As Mimi’s music is very visually imaginative, painting pictures, telling stories and expressing feelings, be sure to expect much visual and video artwork from her in the future.
Her first language is English and so naturally also the language she writes in. Growing up in London, Los Angeles and Rijeka, Mimi is an international soul and identifies with each of these places in different ways, and this is clearly projected in her music.
