Elveektor, whose real name is Ogbu Valentine Tochukwu, is a Nigerian rapper known for his thought-provoking, indigenous Igbo lyrics.
Elveektor began his music career in 2018 with his debut album, “Sonrise.” Shortly after, he teamed up with his long-time mentor and producer, CHx, to create the “Nsibidi EP” —a musical project dedicated to capturing real life experience. “Road-Block” caught people’s attention as it was the earliest #EndSars campaign song as Elveektor centered on Police brutality in Nigeria. In September 2019, he released “B4Dsonsine” album.
Elveektor’s breakthrough came in 2020 with the release of “Nsibidi 2.” This album focused on the history, philosophical development, and perseverance of Igbo identity in a post-war Nigeria, resonating deeply with listeners. The tracks “Isee” and “Igbo Landing,” featuring Bosalin, gained significant popularity and were instrumental in the album’s success. The album earned Elveektor recognition from prominent Nigerian musicians like Don Jazzy and Illbliss.
Continuing to build on his momentum, Elveektor released his 2022 album, “Ife Nwoke,” further cementing his place as a notable voice in Nigerian rap, especially for fans of Igbo-centric themes and narratives.
