Emeka

Israel Nwabueze Nnaemeka, best known by his stage name EMEKA, is a Nigerian Singer/rapper/songwriter/performer. The all round entertainer was born in Umuleri Anambra state Nigeria, but grew up in the heart of hustle and bustle in one of Africa's most populous cities (Lagos). As EMEKA likes to say, “music is my get away from the madness happening around me”.

His style of music is influenced by the various sounds he grew up listening to consciously and unconsciously e.g highlife, fuji, afrobeat, jazz, afrojuju, reggae and hiphop music to mention a few. Some of his most notable releases are "Beautiful day", "Sugar" , "Shakara", "Giddem, "Lofty dreams" and the yearly "Industry diary series" which he started in 2012, there has been one every year till date.

Formerly signed to Ericmany music, the widely versatile talent has since moved on to put out more beautiful music as an independent artiste. 2023 saw him release his first ever body of work, an Ep titled “SUGARCANEMAN” (vol1), the Ep is an embodiment of beautiful Afrobeats music.
Emeka’s story telling abilities are very evident either in his raps or when he makes Afrobeats music.
