Emi Araishi

When Emi writes and produces music, she follows instinct rather than rules. Her process is spontaneous, usually beginning with a piano riff or a drum beat. From there, everything unfolds naturally. Blending genres and styles freely, Emi creates music that reflects all sides of her identity.

Born in Singapore to a Japanese father and Singaporean mother, Emi grew up surrounded by a rich mix of cultures, languages, and sounds. She began classical piano training at the age of four, wrote her first songs at fourteen, and later studied music production at Senzoku Gakuen College of Music in Japan.

After being selected as a finalist in Sony Music’s Next Asian Stars audition in 2022, Emi released her debut single titled “#1” in 2024. The track has received support from radio stations and media outlets worldwide, further affirming her potential as a rising artist in the region.

Rather than staying within one genre, Emi gravitates toward whatever feels right in the moment. Sometimes it is pop, sometimes cinematic, and often something entirely unexpected. Her music is an open exploration of emotion and creativity.
