Emily Collettivo Musicale was founded in 2006 in Parma (Italy) from the desire to recount in music an imagery linked to the social poetics and struggle that has always characterised it, through meticulous and engaging sounds among contaminations of Folk, Rock, Reggae.
The continuous and productive live activity, dynamic and at the same time reflective, has led the group to perform all over Italy on many stages in clubs, theatres, festivals, social centres, crossing their performances (and in some cases creating collaborations) with those of established artists such as Inti-Illimani, Bandabardò, The Gang, Cisco, Casa Del Vento, Zibba, Stato Sociale, Alessio Lega, Rio.
The affirmation and attractiveness that the group has been able to create, together with the need to share its music in an inclusive and participatory manner, led to the natural evolution of the band into a ‘collective’ in 2012 in which musicians, authors and collaborators could freely and equally decide on the group's prospects.
