A native West Virginian, Emily Lehr finds comfort in the tradition of her Appalachian roots while maintaining her own spin on her sound. Borrowing the storytelling traditions and mellow timbres of Joan Baez and Joni Mitchell, Emily sings to the current generation while incorporating echoes of the past in addition to finding inspiration in modern influences such as Lizzy McAlpine and Jensen McRae in tone and introspective songwriting. Most notably, Emily has opened for artists like Charles Wesley Godwin, Will Hoge, and the Davisson Brothers Band, in addition to hitting the road in 2023 with Ryan Brandenburg and in 2024 with JoJo Scott and playing various music festivals in West Virginia, Tennessee, and Mississippi. From cozy, intimate solo performances in the backyard to lively shows with her band, The Foxglove Fellows, Emily connects with live audiences to bring her stories to life with friends old and new. Emily's music is available on all streaming platforms, including her sophomore record Hell Hath No Fury and her upcoming live acoustic EP Mercy.
