Ten years after her debut album "Dovddut eai gielis / Feelings Don’t Lie", Emma Elliane will release her second solo album "Vájaldettiin" in February 2026. The first single, "Sudno šaldi / The Bond Between Them", was released on September 26, 2025, revealing a glimpse of her new musical landscape!
Her second single «In du guođđán - I did not leave you” was released October 17, with lyrics available in Northern, Southern, and Lule Sámi translations, and English. She has written lyrics herself and the songs are produced in close collaboration with musician and producer Georg Buljo.
Emma Elliane is a songwriter, singer, joiker, and performing artist from Guovdageaidnu, Sápmi. She moves within a contemporary Sámi musical universe, where electronic elements meet acoustic instruments, joik melodies, and lyrics in North Sámi. In her writing, nature often becomes a voice that guides us through the emotional landscapes of life.
Her experiences and travels around the world have left a clear mark on her music. Encounters with people, places, and different musical traditions have inspired her to carry forward her family’s joik heritage, while also drawing impulses from alternative artists, Indigenous music, global traditions, and experimental expressions.
