A French rock outfit brought together by former members of a number of different bands (<a href="spotify:artist:5ylOD196qui8JgXBrQUzok">Kyo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:5prz4Rf3RVDOFpBWrtUfKC">Pleymo</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7nK1T1BgFz9jZy88sjtahU">Watcha</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:6fSUhUQeYqS6VUFA3Pv8ox">Vegastar</a>) Empyr formed in 2007. Singing in English was their niche stock in trade, and helped land the band a Los Angeles locale for the recording of their debut album, The Peaceful Riot. Out in 2008, the full-length was preceded by the single, "New Day." ~ Chris True
