Following the release of Mass Hysteria, End of Pipe returned with the EP "Silence Equals Death ", the band’s fifth studio release, celebrating 19 years of activity. The EP marks the return of guitarist Gabriel “Gabito” Jardim, one of the band’s founders alongside Uirá Medeiros (vocals and guitar) and Rafael Censi (bass). Drummer Victor Berretta has been part of the lineup since 2011.
Released by Repente Records and produced by Fernando “Badauí” (CPM22) and Phillippe Fargnoli de Oliveira (CPM22 / REFFER)—who also produced Keep Running (2014)—Silence Equals Death continues the band’s evolution. Mixing and mastering were once again handled by North American producer Mark Michalik, who previously worked on Mass Hysteria (2020).
Featuring four tracks, the EP presents a heavier and more aggressive sound, with lower tunings and a sharper, more direct approach, pushing End of Pipe’s music beyond their previous work.
