Ennio Emmanuel, announced his long-awaited return to the music scene with the debut of his new song “Don’t Mean That I Don’t Love You” on October 2, 2020. This release ends his 5-year hiatus since his sophomore album “Ojalá,” which earned him an Artists in Music Awards for Best Latin Artist. The sultry R&B-inspired pop sound lays the perfect ground for lyrics that carry the heavy burden the artist felt while being away from family and friends. Though the song is reminiscent of a love declaration to a lover, Ennio wrote it amidst working and traveling far from home and thinking of those in his inner circle that might have felt forgotten. Don’t Mean That I Don’t Love You is a statement by the singer that just because he was not physically present, it does not mean he did not have love for them.
