ENSEMBLE OPERA DIVERSA

The Ensemble Opera Diversa is a company of professional musicians, singers and performers, based in Brno, Czech Republic. We focus on innovative music and theatre programmes. The core of our repertoire are the compositions and operas by the founding members of the Diversa, composer Ondřej Kyas and librettist Pavel Drábek. Since its early days (1999), the Ensemble Opera Diversa (officially established with this name in 2003) has developed into a large professional music and opera society that produces around 30 concerts and performances every year. We have produced eight seven full-length operas, two dozens of minioperas, a number of world and Czech premieres of orchestral compositions commissioned by or written for the Ensemble, as well as many works of the classical and modern repertoire. The orchestra produces four thematic concert projects every year.
