His innovative productions have garnered praise from esteemed critics and journalists, including Leonardo Lichote, Gilles Peterson (BBC 6, London), Gabriel Rolim, Gabriel Monteiro, Ana Laura Padua, and Francisco Cornejo.

Born and raised in the vibrant music scene of Recife in Pernambuco and enriched by his two-year experience in Luanda, Angola, Matheus embodies the roots of Brazilian culture, infusing his work with a captivating authenticity that resonates with audiences globally.
