Born in Montreal, Eric studied guitar and improvisation in New York City before moving to Berlin, where he spent a decade as a sideman to big and small names of the European music world.
After re-locating in Toronto, he worked as a studio and live musician and dove into blues, country and music tech. This interest in art and technology has led to recent recordings exploring common ground between composition, electronica and various global music traditions.
"El Choclo" is the follow up to "Darn, That Band" (2024) and documents a band that has now reached cruising altitude and is settling in for a flight to a distant, exotic location.
