OJOS FEOS is an award winning musical project, based out of Paris, France. Band leader, Robbie Cree, is a multi-linguist and multi- instrumentalist, whose musical concept was derived from his experiences working in Africa and Latin America as a medical doctor . OJOS FEOS uses Afro-Latin rhythms as a base to fuse American jazz/rock and funk. Much of the lyrical content relates to social justice and human rights, matters of which Robbie witnessed in his international travels and in his youth, growing up in the reservation lands of north central Montana.
The soon to be released album, Cruzando Fronteras and their unreleased 5th studio album, Lie Fonts, were mixed and produced in Bucaramanga, Colombia by Javier Casanova and Alvaro Rey, respectively. The incorporation of Colombian rhythms and percussion instruments lends a unique sound to the compositions.
Their 4th studio album, Cruzando Fronteras, will be released on Friday, February 13th .
