Artist, songwriter, and producer, Eric Zayne’s sound is as unique as his background. Eric was
raised in the Congo, but was suddenly evacuated to Montreal as a child without his family when
a civil war erupted. As a refugee in Montreal and out of contact with his family, Eric found
solace by connecting through music, dedicating and teaching himself how to play multiple
instruments and learning how to sing, write and produce.
Exposed to the musical tastes of his older brother from an early age – Prince, Stevie Wonder,
Beethoven and James Brown – Eric set out to find his own voice, evolving a new vintage sound
blending funk, rock, soul and electronic together.
Eric Zayne’s journey has been extraordinary with top songs on the radio and listing projects
under his belt with H.E.R., Cee Lo Green, Dallas Austin, Matisyahu, Jordin Sparks, Walter
Afasanief, Richard Marx, Randy Jackson and many others, filling different roles from artist, to
producer & songwriter.
He also has success in film and TV – producing & writing soundtracks for the movies such as
Artic Justice, Daddy’s Home 2, Red One, Red Notice, Black Adam, Super Pets, Cobra Kai & Guest
House.
His latest endeavor, ‘Sunset & La Brea’ is a testament to this journey, aiming to weave the rich
tapestry of his early musical influences with the innovative edge of today's sounds.
Zayne's upcoming album is poised to be a vibrant fusion of eras, capturing the essence of
timeless classics through a modern lens.
