Erik Strauss

Erik Strauss starts as a DJ and music producer in 2009. Is mostly known for his instrumental trip-hop/downtempo composition.
He has published many singles and EPs under Level One Records, Nuit Blanche, Ubiquity Records and Deep Electronics.

After being absorded in live dj-set from 2011 to 2016, he&#39;s back on production and released &#34;<a href="spotify:album:36a0LaAsw5hg97iNvqIRw6" data-name="Untitled">Untitled</a>&#34; (2017), <a href="spotify:album:2h33ynnksnyL1A7ZGZDyjP" data-name="All This Blue Is About Happiness">All This Blue Is About Happiness</a> (2020), &#34;<a href="spotify:album:6H443BWlpGKMHcz6oD9DuA" data-name="I am sure I am happy">I am sure I am happy</a>&#34; (2021), 3 EPs with a downtempo taste.

His major project as indipendent artist is <a href="spotify:album:1qYBPasyrBs8ER4hOyAwVB" data-name="Urbanature">Urbanature</a> (2020), a trip-hop oriented album which contains singles such as &#34;<a href="spotify:album:6HSoYkkWKPhr2BaT9p2FcV" data-name="What It&#39;s Worth">What It&#39;s Worth</a> (feat. <a href="spotify:artist:6HTPtmq3sxDHJwQ3nQKfkA" data-name="Ryal">Ryal</a>). XLR8R said that is &#34;A masterfully produced cut we keep on coming back to&#34;.

In 2022, he re-released his first EP &#34;<a href="spotify:album:16K7Myhua5lW09h4KBIOkb" data-name="White Paper Extended">White Paper Extended</a>&#34;, with 3 previous unreleased tracks that focus on early minimalist sounds. He also published, in collaboration with the electronic duo <a href="spotify:artist:0HyMNt26T4JSSr2cqbpPr2" data-name="Be.Holders">Be.Holders</a>, &#34;<a href="spotify:album:6xJvUCIuT7ghlDSukJMcRJ" data-name="Dante 333">Dante 333</a>&#34;, a music tribute to &#34;La Divina Commedia&#34; by Dante Alighieri.

&#34;<a href="spotify:album:1KZluhVTn9fojIiPs8OeJr" data-name="FTUR">FTUR</a>&#34; is the new ambient/experimental album published in late September 2023.

He remixed tracks from <a href="spotify:artist:2DNFg3KAsbnkj62zIc9lyQ" data-name="Wicked Expectation">Wicked Expectation</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:3CTlxV47r5hrF1eA0t5UDQ" data-name="Tym Frost">Tym Frost</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:7exXKVVAqp86Gubia3Fa2g" data-name="Equalisation">Equalisation</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4acmKndJHVY6QJcosMxxGc" data-name="Stim Junkeez">Stim Junkeez</a> &amp; <a href="spotify:artist:6hcbPPciUQyC7Si7r50Myj" data-name="Sebastianhead">Sebastianhead</a>.

His favourite artists (David Bowie, Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, Aphex Twin ) push him to experiment and evolve each time. Nowadays, after the 2023 &#34;FTUR&#34; ambient/experimental release, is getting even more minimal/deep tech.

Besides his work as producer and DJ, Strauss is a performer and visual artist.
