EVEN AS WE SPEAK – an indie pop band from Sydney Australia where it is sunny on most days.

FORMED – 1986 in post-punk apocalyptic inner-city Sydney – they refused to wear the eye makeup of their generation. Released a bunch of obscure indie 7inch records.

SUCCESS – 1987 their fizzing DIY “Blue Suburban Skies/Bizarre Love Triangle” 7 inch single connected them firmly to the post C86 twee pop/indie pop genres and brought them to the attention of a UK audience.

LEGENDS – they were kidnapped by the famous Sarah Records label in 1989, and after some super fantastic singles released their sparkling pop roller-coaster ride Feral Pop Frenzy in 1993.

BLAH – Top 10 Indie charts, NME, Melody Maker, 3 Peel Sessions, BBC1 Radio – yep they are that good!

BROKE UP - 1993 because they all hated each other.

UNTIL – A strange and unexpected re-birth occurred - New York Pop Fest 2016, EP the Black Forest 2017, 2018 UK tour to sold out shows! Some other stuff. Album Adelphi release in 2019 – fucking awesome!!!!!!!

NEW ALBUM – Rare Birds – a compilation of rare tracks from the period 1986 to 1988 recovered from cassette tapes, dusty masters and crackly vinyl. Super cool!!!
